FTSC-0004 ~ The Conference Mail System (EchoMail Specification)

The EchoMail specification outlines how public discussion groups (areas) are managed, bundled, and transmitted between FidoNet nodes. Before EchoMail, FidoNet primarily supported "NetMail" (private point-to-point messages). FTS-0004 provided the blueprint for a decentralized, worldwide public messaging system that predated modern internet forums and subreddits.
